Welcome to Kent Limousin
Situated in the northwest corner of Minnesota along the Manitoba border, Kent Limousin is a third generation seedstock operation owned and operated by Terry Kent and Allan and Danika Dostal. Our program focuses on balancing calving ease with growth, maximizing maternal strengths and docility, and improving carcass quality on the rail.

AI’ing 70 of our 200 registered females each year, we weave the best Limousin genetics from across the country into our own consistent maternal lines. We are passionate the Limousin breed, and proud to be part of the bigger effort of American cattle producers to continue to bring the highest quality American beef to the table for the consumer.

Why Limousin?
Before Kent Limousin, there was the Tri-Bar-H brand on a commercial Hereford herd, started by Ron Hanson and his daughter and Terry’s wife, Kathy Kent. When Wulf Cattle brought Limousin to northern Minnesota, Ron and Kathy started buying Limousin bulls to cross on their Hereford cows.

While they quickly realized the benefits of the breed’s calving ease, feed efficiency and higher yield, arguably the most evident benefit of the crossbreeding was the trademark muscle the Limousin bulls added to calves. Right down to his last days on the farm, decades after bringing home the first Limousin bull, Ron continued to be impressed with the muscle of a Limousin.

Whether you’re looking to add to your own Limousin genetics or searching for the right cross on your commercial herd, we’ve probably got something that will add to your own profitability.
