Here's a nice Limousin-Angus cross. Griffin, a son of Wulfs Amazing Bull T341A, ranks #18 on the Limousin Junior Sires list for birth weight, thanks in large part to his maternal grandsire, SY Bank Draft 795F. If we were still consistently registering calves by Bank Draft, he'd take his place back in the top 10 on the breed's Proven Sires list for both calving ease direct and birth weight. We used Bank Draft for years on pasture, and still AI a lot of heifers to him for his reliability. Griffin has become a go-to in his own right for our own use on heifers. This is the third calf out of a commercial Angus cow. We sold another Limousin-sired son of hers last year. His EPDs are not reliable because his mother is commercial, but we believe his own build, performance, disposition, and the proven pedigree that precedes him speak more than any set of numbers could.
